Believe in Me
It was night and on a beach sat a lonely Psammead.
She had brown fur, sea gren eyes and was very shy.
Her name was Sera J Nassicus, Izz's cousin.
Most of her family made fun of her because she didn't look like a normal Sand Faerie and couldn't grant wishes like others.
Izz and Morrick were the only ones who liked her for herself.
But then she heard soft crying near where she was.
It was a human girl with long black hair, bron eyes and was sad.
"H-Hello?
Why're you crying?" Sera asked nervously approaching her.
"Wow you're neat!
You came from another world, didn't you?
I understand that you don't want to hurt me, do you?
I can tell you're like me, alone and hurting because nobody likes you for you.
I-I'm Demi.
Who're you?
Sometimes I see other creatures like you be mean to you.
Why?" the girl said softly to her.
"It's because I'm not like other Psammeads and can't use magic or look like the others.
I'm also very shy and unconfident but I like making friends and being creative and caring.
I'm Sera.
Why do others make fun of you?" the Psammead girl asked Demi.
"I'm shy, inconfident, creative and soft spoken.
But it's okay.
I'm used to it." Demi replied softly as she saw Sera shiver.
"What's wrong Sera?" she asked.
"My home was carried away by a storm last week and I can't find another one." she replied scared.
"You can live with me.
Besides nobody would care." Demi told her putting her in her back pack gently.
"It's odd but we're the same.
We're losers in life but we seem to go together like wishes and humans.
Maybe this time I'll have a family who cares about me no matter if I'm different." she thought as she snuggled in Demi's back pack.
Demi rode her bike through the town on her bike.
When she got to her house, her parents were already gone to work so it was just her.
She sighed as she entered the house and went upstairs to her room.
Sera wondered what was wrong as she lay on the bed.
"It's nothing Sera.
I'm gonna get something to eat, okay?" Demi said.
The Psammead girl nodded as she left the room wearing a blue night dress and socks.
But somebody was watching her........
