Aang lay on his back. He tried to open his eyes but the light was too bright. He shut them quickly and opened them again. This time the light was good enough to at least squint. He looked around the room and his eyes get locked on Katara. "Hey…Katara." He said faintly. "Hey Aang." Katara replied with hope in her voice. "What happened?" Anag manages to sit up but collapses back down on the pillows whimpering in pain. "Don't worry about what happened; right now I just want to focus on getting you better." Katara says sincerely. "Okay. Ugh." Aang grunts. "What is it,Aang" Katara asks in wonder. "I don't feel so good." Aang says without hesitation. "Are you in pain?" Katara asks while she comes closer to Aang. "Yes. My stomach and my back really hurt. I'm really tired too." Aang says. He starts to break into a sweat and shivers. Katara puts the front of her hand on Aang's forehead. "No wonder! You're burning up, like crazy." Katara gets a cloth and dips it in some cool water. "Here Aang, this will help bring down this fever."

"Thank you." Aang whispers, he then trys to sit up and drink some water. This time he succeeds. Katara hands him a cup full. He drinks it all in one gulp. For a long moment it's silent. Aang's stomach growls and breaks the silence. "I guess I should get you some food? If you like." Katara suggests. "No, I'm not that hungry yet, maybe a little later." Aang says. "Okay if that makes you happy." Katara says sounding worried. Aang turns away. "Is there something bothering you?" As a tear rolls down Aang's flushed cheek. "Its fine Katara, I'm okay." Katara comes and sits on the bed with Aang. She taps his shoulder. Aang turns to face her. All of the sudden, Aang gets a sharp pain through his stomach and he clutches it. "Ughhh" He grunts. "Aang are you alright?" Just then Suki, Toph and Sokka come in Aang's room after hearing the grunt. "Hey..he's finally awake." Sokka says. "Whats wrong with him. What happened?" Suki says. "I don't know it just happened. Aang, look at me, tell me what happened." Katara says. Aang releases his stomach and looks up at her. "I don't know. My stomach just hurts really bad." Aang Says wryly. "I think you just need some rest, here you can lay on my lap and try to rest." Katara suggests. "Guys, do you mind giving Aang some time to rest, he is trying to recover you know." She says. "Ok, come on Toph." Suki says.

After a few hours, Aang wakes up again in Katara's arms, this time he's on his stomach. Katara is simply giving him a healing session. " Katara, what are you doing, whatever it is it feels great." Aang says smiling a bit. "I'm healing you. I'm happy its making you feel better, but I'm sorry I disturbed your sleep." She apologies. "Katara, Don't apologize, I'm happy to be awoken to your healing. Its better then waking up to pain." Aang shows a point. "Okay, Well, I guess that's the end of the healing session." As Katara puls the water out of Aang's wound, He sees himself in Ba Sing Sa getting struck by Azula's lightning. "Oh! Oh! Azula she…. I got killed." Aang realizes. "But, you brought me back." "I just healed you with the Spirit water I got from the North Pole." Katara says while looking on the floor. "You saved me. I can't believe it." Aang says with his hand on his forehead. "You need to rest some more at least that fever almost gone. Come lay down I'll stay here with you." Katara motions Aang over to the bed. "Okay." Aang then puts his head on Katara's lap and drifts off to a peaceful, restful sleep.
