"Kero get up you lazy plush toy. Emergency! Emerg….".
"AHHHHH Who you calling 'plush toy' human. Go away".
Yue crossed the room in Yuki's form and slowly whispered three words to Kero. Three words he knew would get the lions attention. Three words that now occupied his own mind and that of Yuki's and Toya's.
"Sakura and Li".
Kero jumped out of the draw he had just been sleeping in and flew to hover at eye level with Yue and stared at him with a mixture of astonishment, confusion but most of all fear. Fear of the unknown.
"What do you mean 'Sakura and Li'? There's nothing to talk about I thought we discussed it already. I thought we were staying out of it but I don't think one of us has".
"I had every right to. You're too close to her, one of us had to. She prefers talking to me more than you anyway."
"As long as you remember its Yuki she's talking to….. think what you like your only human after all".
"I'm going to forget you ever said anything. Sakura and Li".
"Yue leave them alone. I'm warning you next time I won't…".
"What will you do give me a bow tie. How thoughtful of you Kero".
"I'll burn you to ash with everything I've got, you won't stand a chance and you know it. Just go out the door like the human you are. She doesn't need you and Clow wouldn't like you messing around".
If there was any weakness of Yue's known to anyone it's that one mention of Clow would send him back-pedaling faster than he could ever fly. The only disadvantage to Kero was Clow favoured Yue, they were both moons while his powers were in the sun.
Kero's only hope was that the Eriol part of Clow who cared for Sakura just as much as Li did would hold out against his judgment. In this way Kero realised that it would all come down to Clow's decision, weather he liked it or not he would go ahead with Yue's plan. The only problem was that Sakura would hate him. Yue wouldn't have that problem she would always love Yuki, even if he and Toya disagreed.
"I've spoken to Clow already there's nothing to worry about me and Yuki sorted it out with him".
"You've spoken to Clow or Eriol".
"Clow. I said already lion what are you thinking".
This was the answer Kero had been waiting for, it meant that he still had a way to stop Yue's plans.
"I think I'm going make a visit to see Eriol, don't you".
If Yue had spoken to Clow, Kero could still negotiate with Eriol, two sides to the same coin or person rather.
