Prompt: Green

Hanji grinned when Levi rolled, turned and faced her, eyes narrowed in deadly concentration. He had green splotches running up and down the side of his white shirt, and she was willing to bet they were on the back too. The grass stains were most heavy on his left side where he'd rolled to evade her kick. Oh, this was getting better and better.

He darted forward, bent slightly to keep his center gravity down. He threw a punch that she blocked, but his leg snapped forward at the same time to sweep her legs out from under her. With a painful 'whoof!' she fell on her back. She rolled to the side before he could strike again, moving as quickly to her feet as her hurting back could. Sweat was dripping down her forehead, but she didn't want to wipe it off yet, for fear that he'd attack when her hand was up and her sides would be unguarded.

They circled slowly, eying each other, waiting for the other to move. Predictably, they both surged forward at the same time, Levi doing the same as before, hunched slightly, staying low. Hanji moved to block the anticipated punch and leg sweep, but instead was hit in the gut from the other fist. She doubled over with a wheeze, holding up a hand to show she was yielding. Holding her other hand over her gut and trying to ignore her twinging back, she dropped as gracefully as a bruised woman could to the ground to take a breather. Now taking the time to wipe the sweat from her brow, she hummed a 'thank you' while gratefully accepting the water jug Levi thrust in her face.

Levi sat down next to her, guzzling his own water. "That was a good feint you did at the beginning." He complimented. "Your ground speed still sucks though. I really didn't think you'd get by that last move. Are you getting old or something?" Levi grabbed his towel from it's folded spot on his bag and wiped the sweat from his face.

"Haha! That must be it! I'm getting older and slower!" Hanji's laugh was loud, but had a slight wheezing quality to it still. "I thought I was going to clear that hit, but you moved faster than I anticipated, and my leg is still sore and numb from the round prior. Not to mention my back. I think something is out of alignment now." Hanji allowed herself to fall backwards on the grass. She closed her eyes and smiled. "I enjoy this. Sparring with you. You're a great challenge."

Levi rolled his eyes when Hanji had dropped on the grass. Her shirt was soaked with sweat, so that mixed in with the dirt and grass? Ugh.

"We can't let you get too bored. Anytime you get bored you come up with some crazy ass idea." He watched her squirm contentedly, stretching her arms above her head and swinging them back down. "Hey! Keep that up and you'll get even more grass stains! Stop it already!"

Hanji laughed at him as she could hear him mutter.

"You're like a freaking kid sometimes..."

"You do realized that you some grass stains on your shirt yourself right?"

Levi's eyes widened slightly in horror at her announcement. His eyes followed where she was pointing to only see the green streaks and smudges on his otherwise white (and transparent due to being soaked with sweat) shirt. He sighed at the sight.

Hanji was still on her back, staring at the clouds in the sky. "You know..." She started in a serious tone. "I have an idea on how you can avoid such stains in the future."

Levi quirked his eyebrow at that. "Oh? What? Move faster to avoid your cheap shots?"

Waving that idea away, she rolled to her side to give him an evil grin. "No, that's no fun. This is much better." Her tone lightened and her eyes sparkled at him. "You could always go shirtless when we spar..."
