A/N: So, this is my first fanfic. I would really appreciate it if you would leave a review. Also, I don't plan on having really any more notes for the rest of the story. First chapter is going to be a bit short. They will get longer later on. There will also be more adult content later in the story. THIS IS A STORY. There is a plot and everything. This is also an A/U. So there are no demigods, monsters, gods, or anything like that. I might tend to write more from the guy's perspective, because it's easier for me. I will try to write the girl's perspective, but it might not turn out that well. Anyways, that being said... enjoy!

P.S. I do not own any of the Percy Jackson Characters.

Percy:

I was sitting at the bottom of my high school's pool just trying to clear my thoughts. I don't know why, but the water always was the most calming and relaxing place for me. I guess that was why I loved swimming so much. Swimming. That was pretty much what my life revolved around. Sleeping, eating, school, and swimming. There was no time for anything else.

I finally decided to come back up for air, and I was surprised to see my coach Chiron there. It was about 5:00 a.m. and practice wasn't for another hour.

"What's up coach?"

"Why are you here so early, Jackson?"

"I just needed to clear my head for a bit."

Chiron just nodded his head. He knew that things were starting to get stressful for me. I was about to go to the Olympic trials in about two weeks. Between that and school work, my life started to become very stressful.

"Well, since we are both here, do you want to start practice early?" He asked me.

I shrugged and said, "Why not."

And that was when hell started. Hundreds of laps. Each one started out slow, but they always got faster until I couldn't keep up with the clock anymore. It was exhausting, but I loved it. The burning feeling I got made me feel more alive.

Finally, practice was over after an hour of intense workouts. Chiron told me that that would be my last day of intense practice. He wanted me to be ready for the tryouts in 2 weeks time, and being worn out from practice would not help that. Besides, I still had actual team practice this afternoon.

So, I hit the showers and started to get ready for school.

Annabeth:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock at 5:30 a.m. I got out of my bed, stretched, and got ready for the day. Today was going to be my first day of school since my transfer, and I was excited. Most people would think that I am crazy. I mean it's school, but I love it.

At about 6:30, I was ready to go. I wanted to get to school early, so I could learn my way around. I grabbed my keys and purse and headed to Goode High School.
