Yay, my first School of Rock fic! And it's Frummer love! Enjoy, I just needed to get this out of my head.
Freddy walked into the dimly lit room trying to make as little noise as possible. He was surprised to find his fiancée still awake at three in the morning, glasses perched on her nose, book in her hands, bedside lamp switched on.
She looked up when she heard his quiet footsteps, and her face lit up with her hundred watt smile. This in turn made his heart soar, as her smile always had. He walked to her side of the bed, taking her face in his hands to stare into her dark eyes, and ever so slowly kissed her gently on the lips.
He pulled away murmuring, "God I missed you."
Summer smiled again and said, "I missed you too," running her hands through his spiky blonde hair, "But you're home now."
"Have you stayed up this late all week?" He questioned, walking to the bathroom to change into some sweats.
"Yeah," Summer replied, placing her book and glasses on the bedside table and switching off the lamp.
"It was lonely without you," She whispered as Freddy slid beneath the covers to hold his girl close.
"I'm never going on a business trip with Zack again," Freddy whispered into Summer's hair.
"Why not?" She questioned, softly stroking his tanned arm with her small fingers.
"All he did was whine about missing Katie," Freddy replied.
"Well," Summer said looking into Freddy's eyes, shining even in the dark, "Did you miss me?"
Freddy looked at her evenly, ducking his head down to press his lips to hers, "Every second," he whispered.
Summer smiled, and snuggled into her favorite pillow, Freddy's chest.
He played with her hair as he started to drift off but Freddy was woken by Summer softly murmuring his name.
"Yeah Sum?" he questioned into the dark.
"Well, I-um," she stammered, "I was wondering if maybe, that is if you don't mind…"
"Summer?" Freddy asked, "I can't do what you want me to unless you ask me."
"Will you sing to me? I haven't been able to sleep all week without hearing you sing. It's been driving all my co-workers crazy 'cause I've been so damn sleep deprived and cranky."
A classic Freddy Jones Smirk worked its way onto the drummer's face.
"Of course Summer," He replied, "What do you want me to sing?"
The brunette smiled, "Anything. Surprise me. Oh but first," she stopped talking to kiss Freddy once more, "I love you."
"I love you too."
And Freddy sang to her a lullaby so sweet he wouldn't be caught dead repeating the words to anyone else. But it was just what Summer needed to drift off to dreamland, Freddy following not long after.
Did you like it? Let me know, review my lovelies!
