REI X SHINJI
"Shinji"! Misato cried as Shinji was finally ejected from Unit 1. Everybody was happy again, even one little blue haired girl watching from the railings.
"I am….. happy", Rei said as Misato was giving Shinji a bear hug. A couple hours later, Rei was about to go to Shinji's hospital room with some food the doctors asked her to give to him, but Shinji was already out and about.
"Ayanami" Shinji said. Damn, I always call her that. Why? We've known each other so long. It's time I asked her.
"Ayanami, do you want to go to the park later today"? Shinji asked, hoping she said yes. Rei thought about it and gave Shinji a nod. Shinji felt so overjoyed that he ran up and grabbed Rei in the biggest hug he ever gave.
In the background, there was a person who wasn't happy at all. She had watched the whole thing with Shinji and Rei play out, and she was mad as hell about it. Asuka was Shinji's roommate and fellow Eva pilot. She hated it when Shinji spent time with Rei. She wanted Shinji all to herself.
One way or another, Shinji Ikari, you will be mine.
