AN: Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time ficcer. Somewhere back in one of the kinkmeme pages I believe (and could possibly be wrong) that someone requested a crossover with BioShock. Recently my younger sister bought the game and I couldn't help but agree that it needed to be done. That said, it'll definitely make more sense if you've actually played the game all the way through.

And despite the fact that this is my first story written in the Watchmen universe I want everyone to be brutally honest with their opinions. Even if it's to say that this is nothing but a piece of unadulterated OOC crap.

The outfit isn't something that Dan likes and Walter's well aware of that fact but doesn't care. Looking like a Big Daddy makes him invisible to all of Rapture's leftover security as well as makes the Splicers give him a wide berth, unless of course they're ADAM-starved and he has a Little Sister with him, in which case they try and attack and Walter gets a reason to kill them without Dan getting overly angry. They're afraid of him and he has no problem with that. Walter likes people being afraid of him, especially seeing as it's only the people that count. Fear makes people sloppy and easier to dispose of.

Those poor souls who used to be sane Rapture citizens are even more afraid when they find out that he's the Big Daddy that, instead of being called Mister Bubbles like the others, is called Rorschach by the children still under control of the mental conditioning they were raised with. Dan had tried to figure out more than once why that was but had been unsuccessful. The pheromone treatment that Walter stole had definitely taken to his genes, Dan had assured him of that. Not even the small number of Little Sisters that they have managed to save were able to explain it.

"You smell different." One had shrugged when Dan had asked in the hope that maybe this one would be able to reveal the all-important detail so that it could be fixed. "Still like safety but a different kind of it." had been all she would say before running off to play with the other children. Later Dan had admitted that he wished Adrian were still alive because despite the man having no formal PhD, Dan was sure that the other man would be able to figure everything out. Including where the pain-in-the-ass man calling himself Ozymandias was hiding so that they could put a stop to his use of Little Sisters to collect ADAM from dead Splicers.

Frankly Walter doesn't care about the why's. He only cares that his Big Daddy facade works and he's feared and that his mother, however much he's always despised her, isn't alive to see the horror that the city that she had been promised would make all her dreams (of having a son and daughter to raise into good people and a husband with a job that paid well enough that she didn't need to work) come true. Rorschach is a good person in a city filled with nightmares that cannot corrupt him.

Sometimes Walter regrets that he's unable to remove Rorschach's face, and by proxy let Dan see Walter's face, but that's something that isn't fixable. All he can do is help his friend (the best one he's ever known, although the number of people Walter met and was willing to call 'friend' was admittedly few) and save the girls that Ozymandias turns into Little Sisters.

Laurie, who had almost become a Little Sister herself, loves seeing them come back to life under Jon's hands. She always has some form of hard-to-come-by treat for the children and a hateful glare for Walter (although Laurie only knows him as Rorschach) before helping the girls climb up onto Walter's back. It's safest there for the girls to be carried to where Dan's safe house is located in the tunnels beneath Olympus Heights.
