There was only one way to win this.
Donatello knew that he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. He remained motionless, allowing his opponent an easy hit. "Ha," called the aggressor. "Giving up so soon?" Another punch was thrown, then another. Donatello cringed and sucked in his breath, hoping that this was for the best.
Thinking he had the upper hand, the assailant charged, meaning to finish this once and for all. He had been so consumed in his assault that he had not even realized that Donatello was charging up a strong mystic attack. By the time the bright light streaked across the air, it was too late. With an outcry, Donatello's foe was finished.
"No!" The voice came from everywhere and yet nowhere as Donatello put his arms down and sighed in his victory. "Impossible! I had you! I had you! You can't do this do me! I'm the Battle Nexus Champion!"
"Relax, Mikey," Raphael said from behind the sofa, reaching out for the controller in the raging Michelangelo's hand. "Just be a good loser and gimme the controller. It's my turn to try 'n take hotshot here down a few notches."
"You keep making the same mistakes, Mikey," Donatello called as Michelangelo stormed out of the room and Raphael sat besides him on the sofa. "Instead of just moving all around the screen, try paying attention to why I'm not moving."
Leonardo, who had been listening as he trained nearby, stopped and looked at the pair as they selected their characters for the next round of the video game. "Observation over aggression," he mused. "Good lesson to learn. Looks like you'll probably be winning this round too, Donnie."
"Shaddap," Raphael snarled.
