The Fey
Kana was the Queen of Summer. Blossoms, warm rains, and breezes followed her wherever she went. Hatori was the King of Winter. Sleet, snow, and a constant sheet of ice covered him.
But, both seasons and life change, and Summer met Winter. The beautiful Queen could touch the frozen King and his skin would tingle with warmth and hope. Soon enough, the King's snow was melted, and he was in love with the Queen.
They shared a Summer of happiness. Trees and flowers bloomed with delight, butterflies fluttered like hopes, and warm, gentle breezes whispered tales of the wonderful future to come.
But, Summer can only last so long. The seasons had to change back to Winter, snow, ice, and loneliness.
The autumn was short, but leaves dropped from the Summer trees quickly, and so did the memories of the Summer Queen.
Snow swirled, ice formed, and Hatori resumed the post of Winter King once more.
