Summary: Peter's nine crimes.
1.
He'd found her: sweet, sad smile and gentle, green eyes. Long blonde hair that begged to be touched, twirled. Beautifully young and yet quietly mature - an enticing line he would have enjoyed toeing.
2.
He'd saved her: she'd called him her hero. Alive and breathing like only the angel he believed she could be. Thankful but confused - he wanted to explain but all he could see was the sad smile and gentle eyes filled with life.
3.
He'd trusted her: pull the trigger Claire. Save the world. Save the cheerleader, save himself. Do the right thing - if only he could promise her everything would be okay in the end.
4.
He'd tempted her: her sad smile matched with his lopsided grin. He read her thoughts - saw the looks she gave him - he didn't stop her - he liked being a villain sometimes too.
5.
He'd helped her: she didn't feel human - neither did he - didn't want to be human. They wanted to be special - special to the world - special to each other. She cried on his shoulder and he told her it would be okay - mortality was overrated anyway.
6.
He'd hurt her: she wasn't useful to him - more worry that he didn't need - someone else to protect. The words he spoke as his fingers longed to touch her jaw and to wipe the tears.
7.
He'd loved her: they would never have another chance - never another moment - there were no happy endings for people like them - there were no people like them. Too short - their time together. Too long - they'd looked and never touched.
8.
He'd left her: the sad smile burned against his eyelids - green eyes gentle - begging him to stay. He wanted to - didn't want to go - but it wasn't safe. If anyone knew - her father - fathers - then she would be gone and he would be worthless without her.
9.
He'd watched them take her away: his worst fear when he could no longer be her hero.
