From Library to Camp-I-don't-know-what

Azalea's P.O.V

"Dad! I'm going to the library with a friend!" I shouted. As I said that, he put his book down, and looked at me. "Are you going with anyone?" He asked me. Strike 247 for overprotective dad. I mean, I guess it's sweet, you know, that he cares about me and all, but it's just the library. It's not like the Medusa is going to jump out of my Greek Myths book and turn me into a garden gnome, right? "Dad, I'll be fine, promise. Love you Dad!" I told him. He looked at me and sighed. "Just be-" "I'll be home by ten alright?" I interrupted. "Okay, and-" he started. 'I'll be careful, alright? Can I please go now?" I asked. "Fine. Love you." He said.

When I finally reached the library, my best friend, Blaze, was waiting for me. "Hey Azalea!" he said "What's up?" I asked. "Nothing, what took you so long?" he responded. "My dad, as usual. What do you think his problem is? It's starting to really get annoying." I said. Just when I said that he got a nervous look on his face. He's been doing that whenever I complain about my overprotective dad. I decided to ignore it. "Let's head inside." I waved hello to the librarian. "Hi Ella!" I said. Ella is really nice. She started this library with her husband. She has pretty, long red hair. Her husband is really nice to. His name is Tyson. His hair is a little crazy, but otherwise he cleans up really well. "Hey there Azalea!" she said to me. She was in the middle of reading a book when she looked up at me. She was about to say something when she saw a dark, shadowy figure stood outside the door. Her face darkened. "Blaze, get her in the back. Now." The figure took off his hood. I looked at Blaze who face turned as white as the clouds in the sky, then looked back outside. The figure wasn't there anymore. Instead stood this beast that looked like a stegosaurus mixed with a saber-tooth tiger. Before I got a good look, Blaze pulled me into the back of the library. We turned around and saw Tyson, who had a curious look on his face. "Hi, what's-"He stopped as he saw Blaze's face. "Oh no..." he finished. "Where's Ella?" he asked. "She's in the front." Blaze told him. Tyson quickly got up from his chair and rushed into the front room. I heard a little bit of the conversation going on up front. "Thorn?" Tyson said to the figure. "THORN? You don't mean- I thought you and Percy and Annabeth killed it!" Ella said to Tyson. I racked my brain for anybody named Thorn, Percy or Annabeth. That's it! Greek Mythology! Thorn was some name for a Greek monster. The Manticore I think it was called? But that makes no sense. "I can sense the girl." Thorn told Tyson before I could get back to my train of thought. "What girl? Are you going to sit down and enjoy a book or talk about this nonsense? Maybe you could get your answer from one of the many books we have. I do enjoy them." Ella said to Thorn. Before he could protest, she plopped a book in front of him and shoved him into a seat. "Enjoy!" She said quickly with a short smile. She then rushed Tyson into the back room with me and Blaze. "Take them to Camp. I'll meet you there once I get rid of that... thing." Ella told him. And with that we were off. Off to some Camp- I-don't-know-what, because of I-have-no-idea.
