"Dad lied to me. I want you to have it." The little curly haired boy passed the newspaper wrapped present to his brother.

"Are you sure, Sam? Really, are you sure?"

The older brother had tried his heart out looking for Christmas for his little brother. Now he was the one who was getting the present, unlooked for, welcome and already loved.

"Yes, Dean. I want you to have it."

Trembling the older boy picked at the twine, unwrapped the paper. A small bronze amulet fell into his hand.

"Uncle Bobby said it was real special."
