Lily sat in a corner of the Gryffindor common room and did her homework. She didn't notice the boy, black messy hair, hazel eyes, walking straight to her table.

"Evans?", he asked.

She sighed.

"What do you want Potter?", she looked up.

"May I ask you something?"

"No, I won't g-"

"How have you written the essay?"

"What?"

Lily was surprised. She thought he'd ask her out, like he did every day.

"How have you written the essay?"

"Ehm, which do you mean? Potions or History of Magic?"

"Potions", he sat down beside her. Doing this, he touched her arm and she twitched.

"Sorry", he said.

"Doesn't matter.", She pointed on her essay, "Look, it's easy. You just have to write down the ingredients of the potion we brew yesterday."

"Well, you are a potionstar."

She blushed.

"Me not. So could you help me? Please?"

She thought about it. If he'd ask her out, she'd been impolite. But now, he only wanted to ask something about the homework.

"Sure. Which potion did we brew?"

"Ehm...no idea?"

"Oh James!" Did she call him James? Oh dear, what's happening to me? Why do I call him James?

"You slept again, did you?"

"NO! Of course not! I'd never sleep in potions! Me and Sirius draw!", he grinned. Even if she didn't understand why, she smiled at him too.

"Well, you'd be good, paying your attention to our teacher, you know? Anyway, we brew Amortentia, you know about it?"

"Sure", he looked at her like she wasn't normal. EVERYone knew Amortentia.

"Don't look at me like that! I know what it is!", she said little angry, little grinning.

"So, what is it?", she asked.

He looked at her in a strange way and said: "It's a potion which smells like the things you love most, but just for you, for me, they're the things I love most"

"Alright", she said, "and the ingredients?"

"No idea. Lily?" Oh god! He called me Lily!

"Yeah?", she looked up into his eyes.

"May I copy your answers?"

She sighed. "Okay" and gave him her parchment. "But Potter, you have to write down your OWN smells, okay?"

"No problem, Lily", he said and smiled.

Later on this day, James searched for Lily, because he wanted to give her her essay. He found her in the common room.

"Hey Lily!"

She looked up from her other essay. "Hi Potter"

"Here's your essay. So you smelled wind? What's the smell of wind like for you?"

She blushed.

"Hey, why are you blushing? I smell wind too! I only want to know what it's like for you"

"It's like...Imagine you sit on a broom and fly and then smell the wind, the fresh air. That's what it's like for me. What about you?"

"Exactly the same as me! But I love flying on a broom, you hate it, don't you?"

She blushed again, but he spoke on.

"You also smell lilies, well, that's no wonder", he smiled at her and made her blush again, "but you haven't add a third smell. They are always three, aren't they?"

"Usually...What do you smell?"

"You"

"What?"

"I smell lilies, with little of lavender and rose. And I found out, that's exactly how you smell", he smiled.

He was right, her mother gave her a lily-lavender-rose parfume for her birthday and she totally loved it.

"You"

"What?"

"You wanted to know the third thing I smelled"

"Right"

"I smelled you...And I smelled the wind because of you, that's what you smell like after a quidditch match"

Now, even if she wondered about, she didn't blush. She just looked up into his hazel eyes, she loved that much and he leaned down and kissed her. And she kissed back. So they kissed on until Sirius, Remus and Peter entered the room. Sirius whistled and then shouted: "Finally got her Prongs!"
