FANG POV
We were flying. Duh. We were flying out to find a cave to sleep in. A nice, cozy, comfy, fluffy cave.
"Hey, Max?" I called softly to Max.
"Yeah?" She said, her head whipping around. My heart skipped a beat.
"D-Do you still have that credit card?"
"Yup."
"Could we…maybe…stay in a hotel?"
"Um…sure,"
"Cool. Thanks."
"Welcome,"
There was awkward silence as we flew a while longer. I twirled my fingers a bit then finally spoke.
"Uh, shouldn't we be looking for a hotel?"
"I guess…Hey! Look! There's one right over there!" She said, pointing to a quaint hotel.
"Sweet."
We flew down there, inconspicuously walking inside.
"Hello, what can I do for you today?" A man at the counter asked.
"I'd like enough space for three adults, three children and a dog." I said simply.
"Alrighty then, here's your key, and you kids have fun."
"Thank you, sir."
"Thank you."
More awkward silence.
We stood in the elevator for awhile.
"I wonder what our rooms will be like. I hope mine's purple, with pink polka dots. Or! Or! Pink with purple. Oh, I can't dehmhmnhmnhmhnmhnhhm" Nudge said as Iggy covered her mouth.
I gave the flock each their keys. Iggy, Gazzy, and Nudge plus Total in one room, Angel, Max and I in another.
One problem.
Two beds.
Three people.
You can do the math. We both deliberately ignored that fact until we really couldn't anymore. That would be bed time.
We stood staring at the bed. Awkward silence.
"Uh…I'll sleep on the floor with Angel." I suggested.
"No, no, that's okay, I will." Max agrued.
"Um, no. I will."
"I will."
"No."
"I am."
"I. Am. Sleeping. On. The. Floor. Get it, got it, good!" I said, surprising Max.
"Look, let's be mature here, okay? It's a double bed, and there's two people. And go take a shower, you stink."
"Ditto."
"Hey!"
I chuckled at my own joke.
I took a shower. Hey, she's the leader, right?
Anyway, we got in bed. I blushed so much! But so did she, so we're even. No. Shut up. Stop laughing, dang it!
I closed my eyes, and gently went to sleep.
