How did I get myself into this? Oh that's right, because of my so called best friend Alice Cullen. I can't believe she would do this to her own brother! Just to win a bet even! But worse than that I can't belive I'm going to have to break his heart.

Ch.1 The begging begins

BPOV

"Alice for the last time, N-O no!"

"Come on Bella. I don't have any money to spare and I really need to win this bet." She pouted.

"Why what did you bet?" Alice had tons of money to spare so it must be something else.

"I well...Umm."

"Spit it out!" I started tapping my foot.

"I sort of agreed that if I lost I would scream to the entire school that I was in love with Jasper." She blushed.

"But he hasn't even asked you out yet!"

"I know! Please Bella you gotta help me!" She gave me the puppy dog eyes.

"But Alice if he truely thinks he's in love with me after this I can't break his heart!"

"I'll tell him after he loses. Please please please please!"

"FINE!"

"Yes! Now here are the things he likes or rules." She pulled out a tiny notebook. "He likes a mysterious girl. That we might have to work on, but rule #2 is she has to be smart, so that's simple. Rule 3, is simple to since you don't care what other people think, and rule 4 is athletic and you rule at soccer so that's good." She went on like this talking about what we would have to work on. "And the last rule is more for you. Rule 13, DON'T FALL FOR HIM!"

"Nothing to worry about there." I muttered. Alice heard and started laughing.

EPOV

Why did Alice want me to meet her here? We never go to the park. Well I do sometimes to practise soccer but she doesn't. I sighed and let it go, I would find out soon enough. I sat down on one of the swings, and let my thoughts wander. They rested on the new girl that I hadn't met yet. Alice was hanging out with her alot so they must be friends. School hadn't started yet, but I couldn't wait untill the end of the second semester when I won the bet and Alice had to scream out her love to Jasper.

I heard footsteps, thinking it was Alice I looked up. There was a girl at the soccer field doing drills. She was pretty good, I could hardly see the ball. I got up and walked over.

"Care to play some one on one." I grinned.

"If you're prepared to lose." She smirked. My heart fluttered, she had deep chocolate brown eyes, waiste long brown hair pulled into a ponytail, and a smile that could stun a model.

"We'll see about that." I smirked back. She was very good. We were tied and I was blocking the net. She ran forward with the ball at her feet and kicked. I caught it but she kicked it so hard that it ended up in my gut.

"Oh my gosh! Are you okay?" She ran to my side and put her hand on my shoulder. I felt a surge of electricity shoot through my body from her touch. She must have felt it to because she yanked her hand away quickly. I groaned in PRETEND pain. "Edward are you okay?" as soon as she let her gaurd down I was up and running with the ball to the other net. I shot and it was an easy goal since no one was there.

I turned to face her smirking. "And the winner is Edward Cullen." I took a bow.

"You tricked me!" She looked stunned but was smiling at my little preformance.

"Hey it's all for the love of the game." I grinned.

"You better hope you still love the game after I get through with you!" She threatened me but was smiling anyway.

"Oh no! Help the little lady is gonna hurt me!" I put my hands in the air pretending to be scared. She started chasing me around the field. When we got to a hill she tripped and fell on top of me. We rolled down the hill and landed so she was completely on me.

"Caught you!" She smirked. I didn't answer. Her face was so close to mine and I had a powerfull urge to kiss her. I struggled against the part of my mind that was basically screaming at me to kiss her. In the end I lost and my lips ended up on hers. She didn't pull away but she didn't respond either, she was probally shocked. I let my head fall back to the ground, my eyes closed.

"Sorry. I don't know what came over me." I whispered. I kept my eyes shut breathing deeply. Why hadn't she gotten up?

"Open your eyes." She whispered. I did and I saw her face even closer than it had been a minute ago. "Don't be sorry." And with that her lips were back on mine. I put one hand at the back of her head pulling her closer to me and the other at her waist. I didn't know how long we were like that but I felt like we pulled away too soon even if it was for air.

"Wow." I shut my eyes again. I felt her get up but the electricity was still there. "Where are you going?" I had opened my eyes to see her going to get her soccer ball. I hope she didn't hear the saddness in my voice.

"Edward it's 9:30, I gotta get home before my dad decides I've been kidnapped." She smiled at me. "Alice is taking me shopping tommorro and then we're going to your house for a movie night so I'll see you then." She kissed me quickly before getting into an old red truck and driving off. Alice was right and wrong at the same time for once. I was in love, but I wasn't going to lose her.

As soon as I was out of sight I pulled over and stopped the truck. I banged my head on the steering wheel. Alice was going to kill me! I had broken the most important rule of all. Rule 13.
