The Power of the Elements: Prologue
It was a dark stormy night outside the window but it seemed not to bother the five occupants of the dimly lit room. In fact, they seemed not to notice anything. They positioned themselves around a large pentagram purposefully, each to their own point, Giles as Earth, Wesley as Fire, Gideon as Water, Maggie as Air, and Lirio as Spirit. They lighted the candles colored according to their element and lifted their hoods to reveal their faces. They all bent their heads forward toward their flickering flames and began to chant in low rhythmic tones ancient Latin. A bright light shimmered over the gathering and spread to the rest of the room, caressing the faces of everyone within its reach. Their bodies shot out, their heads back as it the power flowing through them was overpowering them. Then just as suddenly as it came it departed, leave the room dark and the occupants shaken. It took them a few minutes before they had the strength to also depart. Maggie was the last to leave. She looked towards the heavens and whispered softly, "It is done. We shall be saved."
