"Bored"
Show: Friends
Genre: General
Rated: K+
Summary: Just a little standalone during "The One at the Beach". Monica and Chandler stay up and talk. Just some cute cuddling, might be considered Mondler fluff. Pre-Mondler, that is.
Author's Note: Hmm…do I have anything to say? Ahh, yes…Jeez, I love this episode. And Mondler is so implied in there- not just the "boyfriend material" part, but they're always standing next to each other and when Monica stands up without any pants, Chandler stares at her. So…I just had to write in a scene for them, especially as they say that Ross and Bonnie kept them up all night. Un-betaed.
Disclaimer: I don't own Friends or anything to do with it…except my wants for a Choeyoss, the perfect man! Funny, sweet, and smart all rolled into one easy package!

Chandler Bing walked quietly along the hall to Monica Geller's room. There was a light under the doorway and he sighed in relief- he was really bored, and felt like talking to her. But if her light would have been off…well, let's just say that waking up Monica in the middle of the night was how he had received the long, thin scar on his left arm.
He knocked softly on the door. The door opened and Monica appeared. She smiled as she saw Chandler.
"Can I come in?" he whispered.
"Sure!"
He grinned and walked into the room, sitting on the bed. She closed the door and turned to him, "So…?"
He shrugged, "I'm just bored."
She sat down next to him and gave him a dangerous look, "Are you saying I'm a last resort?"
Chandler shook his head, "No, just…well…kind of…not really!" he added as she gave him a vicious stare, "I mean… well, Ross and Bonnie are…you know… and good luck trying to wake up Joey, and Rachel's all bleh because Bonnie showed up."
"And Phoebe?"
"Uhm…you're…more…interesting…?"
She gave him another smile and rolled her eyes, "So basically, you couldn't think of a lame excuse not to talk to Phoebe?"
Chandler shrugged and returned her smile, "Basically."
For a moment, they simply smiled at each other. Then Monica literally shook herself from the spell she'd been enraptured in. She broke eye contact with Chandler and moved from the foot of the bed and leaned against the headboard. He blinked and then sat next to her.
"Can't get away from you, can I?" she said while he stretched out.
"Nope," he replied she shifted closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. He put an arm around her and for a few moments, they listened to the waves crash against the shore. She put an arm around his chest and snuggled close to him.
"Can I ask you something?" he said after a few minutes.
"Sure, sure," she answered, almost dreamily as though she were half-asleep.
"Why don't you consider me boyfriend material?"
She chuckled into his shirt, "I don't know…you're just…Chandler. You're my friend."
He pulled her closer, "I'd still be your friend, I'd just have special privileges."
"Mmmmm…Like what?" she murmured- she was definitely falling asleep, as her voice sounded rather distant.
"Well," he began, lowering his voice to a whisper so that he didn't wake her up completely, "we could do stuff like this naked."
But she didn't reply; her breathing was steady and deep. He closed his eyes and smiled, "Goodnight, Mon."

The end! Just a little thing to make me happy…and you if you liked it…I think this sounds like Monica and Chandler…they've always been comfortable with each other, and I think that they would do something like this. I swear, I'm seeing Mondler everywhere! Even the ones with Pete have it in there…you've just got to look. So please review if you want…
