Daybreak: Give Us the Sun
"Come, and come quickly."
The Akatsuki are strong. In the harsh "eat-or-be-eaten" reality of this world, they are at the top of the food chain. Supreme. Titanic. Impossibly formidable. You know it; I know it. And it's obvious that they know it. Gods among mortals don't confuse their identity, after all.
The Akatsuki are fearless. They're capable of halting the Apocalypse in its tracks. And they've done it multiple times. They recognize fear for what it is, and that term exists in their vocabulary, but you won't ever see it in their eyes. Where you can find it depends on whom they are looking at.
And most importantly, the Akatsuki are unstoppable. Who can stop the sun from its inevitable leap over the horizon? Who would ever want to? Nightfall is preceded by Daybreak, and the cycle continues on. The light shatters the sky, sending shards of the sun into the heart of the darkness. And that darkness gives way to power beyond its own...
We are the darkness. The Akatsuki is the sun. They are the stronger power. We are the ones who will lap up the dregs of their legacy.
Light the way. Give us the sun. Shine on us and piece our hearts through.
Feed us terror. Make us fear you. Come, and come quickly.
We are ready.
