AN: In no way do I own Sky High! That is all, continue with your lives!

Initially, it was her silence that drew me. Well, silence being a relative term among the geek squad. Jenta had been the first of step up, I decided, after seeing how Leila wilted as Will Stronghold strolled by. She stepped in and continued on, trying to keep things moving. In a sweep of black and purple, she easily distracted the young tree-hugger.

"What did you get for number four in our History homework?" Jenta asked almost cheerfully. I was shocked for a moment, but clumsily found my tongue. "Hey! This is my table- What do you think you're doing here?" I managed to growl, proud that it came out threatening. Or, almost so.

Jenta's violet eyes slid to me, her sardonic smirk playing on painted lips.

"Sitting." she replied before repeating her question to an even more surprised Leila.

As if on cue, the other two dweebs plopped down on either side. I cringed, and pushed my food away in disgust, and some other feeling I'd leave un-named. As I storm away, I manage to hear one of the two excuses of testosterone ask, "If the tough guy's left the tough guy table- Does that mean we're still at the tough table?"

Immediately, I pinch the bridge of my nose, resisting the urge to fry the idiot on the spot. But then I heard a laugh. Not Leila's high tinkle, but I quieter, wilder, barking chuckle. I turn to see Jenta covering her mirth, and the glowing kid next to her, well, glowing. For some reason, I felt myself clench my fists.

She deserves so much better.

AN: Okay, this is my first fic, so let me know what you think. I know it's uber-short, but I wasn't sure if this would even work. PLEASE GIVE FEED-BACK!

Thanks! -Allie
