Isadora

Uhh…I guess this is an apology posting to say that I'm sorry that I haven't updated "Tangled" in a while. But I had this idea for a cute little oneshot, so…here it is!
8-year-old Klaus Baudelaire hurried out the doors of the Boston Public Library, his arms stacked with books that would confuse someone even twice his age. His glasses slipped down his nose and he paused at a bench to adjust them.
Suddenly he felt someone crash into him, causing his books to fly everywhere. He got up and found himself face to face with a girl about his age with wide blue eyes and black hair braided into pigtails. Klaus realized with a jolt that she was quite pretty, and braced himself for the comments and taunts that usually followed whenever he met a pretty girl.
But none came. The girl smiled sheepishly at him and said, "Sorry, I was trying to catch my brother and…I guess I wasn't looking where I was going."
"It-it's okay," he stuttered, bending over to pick up his books. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw her kneel down and help pick up his books. He saw her reading the titles of the books and sighed, wishing, not for the first time, that he could be normal and not read at the level that he did. To his surprise, though, she didn't say anything, but simply stood up and handed him his books.
"Thanks," he muttered, and was about to turn around when the girl spoke again.
"I'm Isadora," she said, looking at him expectantly. Isadora. Now he had a name to match the face.
"I'm Klaus," he replied, hesitantly smiling.
She beamed and opened her mouth to say something, when a boy's voice called, "Isadora!" A boy who looked like an exact copy of her ran up to her, took a look at Klaus and then grinned. "So, Izzy, are you going to introduce me to your boyfriend?" he asked teasingly, the last word coming out as a taunt. She blushed and pushed him, annoyed.
"Shut up, Duncan!" she exclaimed, pushing him again, and he ran off. She watched him go and then turned to Klaus. "Well…bye, Klaus. I guess I'll see you around." She then jogged after her brother.
Klaus watched her go, silently mouthing her name to himself.
Isadora.

"And this is my sister, Isadora," Duncan said. Klaus smiled, fondly remembering that afternoon outside the library.
Isadora.
I think I used too many adjectives. Ah well. Hmm…what else to say? Oh! I remember! Please visit my profile and follow the link thing to my polls, where YOU can vote on the final pairings for "Tangled".
And I guess that's it.
