Roses n' Lockers

Rangiku Matsumoto couldn't help but wonder who her best friend Gin Ichimaru was going to give chocolates, flowers and whatever to since it was Valentine's Day tomorrow. Not that she cared much… okay, she did kind of care.
Well, could you blame her for wondering? They were childhood friends and she was pretty much in love with him, though she did not show it. If he was going to give chocolates to someone, she secretly hoped it was her, although she knew he normally doesn't do anything much during Valentine's Day.

It was finally Valentine's Day! Rangiku was prepared for all the chocolates she was going to get. And mind you, she gets a lot of them.
She was looking for Gin and found him by his locker, taking out some books.
"Gin!" she shrieked.
"Ouch, my ears, they hurt." He said with fake hurt in his voice, although he was startled.

She merely ignored him and asked, "Who are you going to give chocolates to since its Valentine's Day?"
"Why?"
"…just like that."
"Won't tell."
"Please?"
"No."
"Pretty please?"
"Nope."
"Pretty pretty please?" At this point, she was giving him puppy dog eyes, and, unfortunately for her, he had learnt to resist them.
"Nuh- uh."
"Awww, come on, a teeny- weeny hint?"

He knew there was no point in denying, so he decided to give her that teeny- weeny, not really a hint hint.
"Okay." he simply replied.
"Ple- wait, what?"
"I said okay."

She urged him to tell her so he finally said, "Look in everyone's locker and see out of which one a red rose falls out. Who knows? I might turn out to be gay."
She made a face at him and said, "You know that's pretty much impossible, right? And I do not want to waste my time."
"Then don't." he simply said as he turned around to go to whatever class he had next. He waved his hand in his trademark 'Bye-bye' as he left.
She rolled her eyes and proceeded to open her locker. As she opened it, a bright red rose fell on the ground. She picked it up and muttered "Idiot."

But she couldn't wipe that smile off her face for the rest of the day.
