{A/N: I've never really written a one-shot in attempts of writing one...So please be aware that this is the first official one-shot I've done. I felt doing something silly with Jamie would be fun.
By the way: I DO NOT OWN HARVEST MOON!}
Tina had woken early that morning, just like any other morning. She'd gone outside to find it was raining- which meant two things for her. One, she could hopefully get a new note. Two, she didn't have to water her crops today.
However, that reminder led her to wander as she went into the barn and coop, taking care of the animals she'd bought over the year to help her both with funds, finding notes and just to have others around to talk to. What would she do with no farm-work? Her fields were full, and a good chunk of shops she'd normally go to were closed that day.
Her mind wandered to a familiar face, one she'd always looked at with both affection and annoyance. Jamie, her purple-haired rival in farming. He was a fairly strange man- she couldn't help but wonder if he was secretly a girl sometimes because he always seemed to wear that striped dress of sorts. However, she also couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like to admit that crush she'd endured by herself for so long as being real. Wouldn't he crush her for it?
As she walked outside, she noticed the same face she'd seen in her head- this time, however, the face was real. "Tina." His voice had caused her to turn red like the strawberries growing nearby, turning riper as the days went by.
"Oh- Jamie..." She couldn't look him in the eye, her face covered in a red blush both from the chill of the air and from embarrassment of his being so close all the sudden. Wait, when had he gotten so close? She hadn't felt arms around her a minute ago. "J-Jamie...?"
"Idiot. You'll catch a cold." His voice was gruff- something she'd long since gotten used to. Her face turned redder as she hugged him slightly, both to hide herself from the cold and to make it easier to hide her face.
Jamie...He's worried about me...? A giggle caught in her throat- she was too afraid to let it out at that moment though. Could it be a dream? Well, he did seem real- but Jamie wasn't normally so forward like that- though, admittedly, his use of the term idiot was pretty standard for him. Maybe... She sighed, relaxing against him. If it was a dream, then it didn't matter.
If it was a dream, she didn't want to wake up.
