Hello lovelies. This is my present for Kawaii, late as is my wont. You are a marvellous, lovely, wonderful writer and reader. I squee every time there's something from you in my inbox. Because you kick arse. Or at least prod buttock. Anyway... series of four drabbles. You know the drill. Slash no like no read.
(Mpreg is hard to write, isn't it? I'm doing one with two friends... it's RPS. The mix of angst, crack and fluff may destroy my brain. FOREVER)
Disclaimer- I own nothing. Except a bit of pride, a David Tennant doll and several Top Gear magazines.
Sirius first kissed Remus in the spring.
They'd gone into the Forest, trying to escape the couples inside. Remus and Sirius didn't need to be witnesses to the sickening displays of affection. They didn't need reminders of how they weren't like that. They weren't normal.
It wasn't supposed to happen- they'd had the talk a year before, deciding that they were friends. Anything more would just complicate things. They were going to be mature. A relationship would muck everything up.
But when Sirius turned to him, soft lips hesitant against his own, Remus decided he didn't care about being mature.
---
Remus first told Sirius he loved him in the summer.
They were lying in the sun, lazy days drifting out in front of them until they had to take responsibility and become adults. It was their last summer at Hogwarts, the last time they could lie on the grass and not care what anyone thought.
Neither of them had ever mentioned love. It was still there though, in small gestures and touches. In the corner of their eyes. They didn't want to admit to it, make it real and maybe lose it.
Sometimes, Remus thought he was the stronger one.
---
Sirius first asked Remus to move in in the autumn.
He was probably scared of rejection. That was the most probable explanation for how he asked- just in an offhand way, when they were in the pub. He stared down at his drink afterwards, maybe searching for the answer in there.
Remus had grinned, and grabbed his hand underneath the table. No public touching, just in case, but this small bit was enough. Enough to make Sirius laugh, love shining in his eyes. Remus would've done anything to keep that look on his face.
And he did, many many times.

Remus first left in the winter.
He knew they'd been building to it for months, the tension palpable every time they were in the same room. They didn't kiss right any more… just brief pecks, almost out of duty. Love was spoken of. Never thought of. And Remus… was tired of being a stranger in what he was told was his home.
He waited for Sirius to come home.
Hours later, tears shining in his eyes, he left a note on the table and went to a hotel. Sirius wasn't there. Not anymore.
Remus came back. Spring was almost there.
