Instructions Pre-empted.
In The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, during a quest line, you are asked to find evidence of Necromancer activities. Depending on how you go about this, it is possible to 'discover' a note that says the following:
"To the Anchorites:
"Place your Grand Soul Gems in the altar. Pray for His Blessing, and strike the altar with your Soul Trap magic. Your gems will become instruments of His Divine Power."
Of course, by the time I read this note, I had already trapped the souls of several men, mer, Orcs, and beastfolk in Dark Soul Gems I had created using the above instructions and scroll duping.
