Okay this is a plot bunny I've had for a while:
Throughout Watch Dogs 1 and 2 Aiden and Ded Sec have done a lot to effect Chicago and the Bay Area. We've seen their side of the story... but what about other people's.
This prompt is for a one shot or a series of one shots exploring the fall out from certain missions in the watch dogs franchise.
This can be done in one of three ways.
1. News reports; whether televised, printed or in blog form, reports could examine both what the protagonists did and it's fallout, particularly for Watch Dogs 2, where many operations got little news bulletins.
2. Social media discussions; I've seen a lot of those on AO3, exploring the way people talk to each other about what happened online.
3. Short stories looking at the direct consequence of the missions for other people. This could be OCs such as bystanders or someone affected either positively or negatively by missions, or it could look at named characters who appeared at some point. For example.
Helena Tucci: Angelo Tucci's niece. In her appearance she accidentally lead Aiden to her uncle, it would be interesting to see how she reacts to that.
Elana: A Driver SF client dealing with the aftermath of the Haum operation. Seeing what happened after dropping her off would be an interesting way to see the impact of DedSec on the companies they fight.
Jason Fastbender: A greystrom whistleblower. Jason's story has 2 possible endings, either he is called by the journalist a steps down off the ledge, to go home where his wife and sister apologize for believing what Marcus described as a flimsy frame up of him cheating, or talking to said wife and sister on the phone leads to him jumping, in which case they'd have to deal with the guilt of falling for it and letting him kill himself, particularly if there is anyone who actually believed in Jason who would be actively blaming him. Both would be interesting stories.
