A/N: I don't know why I'm writing this, but I promise that I'll write a 3rd happy part! I just had to write something after Puck's tears filled eyes during "Candles". Sequel to "Baby Penguin".
Summary: "After all he said to you, after how he made you feel..." Puck shakes his head and looks at Kurt like he's trying to understand something. "What did he tell you? Huh? What stupid romantic crap did he say?" He takes a step closer to Kurt and cups his face.

I never thought you were a fool,
but darling, look at you...

"You were amazing up there."

Kurt is startled by the sudden voice behind him and turns around finding Puck leaning against the doorframe of the changing room. "Hey."

Puck doesn't answer but steps inside and walks closer to Kurt. When their eyes lock, Kurt almost has the urge to look away from the hazel eyes staring at him. "I always thought that you should have had a solo for Regionals last year and looks like you got your chance now."

Kurt shrughs. "Blaine asked me because I called the Warblers, "Blaine and the Pips" and because yesterday he..." Kurt doesn't know why he blurted out all that but is unable to finish his sentence.

Puck nods and smirks but it's cold. "I thought so. So now he's your boy?"

"I..." Kurt can't answer and suddenly, he feels like the walls are closing up on him.

"After all he said to you, after how he made you feel..." Puck shakes his head and looks at Kurt like he's trying to understand something. "What did he tell you? Huh? What stupid empty romantic crap did he say?" He takes a step closer to Kurt and cups his face.

Kurt gulps and starts to feel something growing inside, a sort of doubt and almost asks himself 'what the hell did you do?' But in the end, he just stares up at Puck unable to tell him that he was so desperate to finally find someone that liked him in return, that he hadn't cared if what Blaine had said had sounded like a bad dialogue from a bad romantic comedy.

"What did he say?" Puck asks again, challenging.

"That there was a moment when he realized that he had been looking for someone like me all his life..."

"And you were suddenly there?" Puck finishes for him, sounding derisory. "I never thought you would fall for some cheap shit like that." He steps back and lets go of him and Kurt almost reaches out to pull him back. Puck walks to the door and stops for a moment, glancing back at him. "I know you wanted romance, but romance doesn't mean empty words and doesn't have to be predictable. You know, sometimes, the most romantic things are stupid, like a song that you're the only who could get the meaning of."

He walks away then and Kurt is left there, his chest aching and the doubts creeping up in his mind.
