An infant who almost died last week from complications, The whole building showed support to the family, so this story is to Little Jeremy Fisher.

Kakashi dashed forward a tree branch his feet echoing a thud a he ran forward.

"Forward, run, safe, baby…"

Those actions seemed like a heart beat a mantra. He never cried he hated the fact of emotion, but sob ripped through his body. His echoed the pitched wails of the infant clothed in Kakashi's own hands. He grasped the baby's skin holding him close against his chest. He was clearly far enough. No one was around, he was safe…safe. He landed on Kohona's overly large trees and collapsed down and his butt. He put his back against the trunk of the massive tree exhausted from running. All was quiet except for his hard breathing and Naruto's little wails. He was allowed to asses the situation clearly even though his haze of adrenaline that still coursed through his veins. He looked down at his charge. Baby Naruto squirming in his hands distressed, cold and in pain, Kakashi reached in his pack and pulled out a small towel he used to wipe his face with during missions. He swaddled Naruto but he stopped abruptly. His eyes found the dark outline of the seal which seemed almost like it was burned on his skin. The skin around it was red as if it was slapped. Kakashi could feel the fox's hot chakra pulsate through the seal. Suddently Kakashi winced as if he felt the baby's pain transfer to him almost like a shockwave. Kakashi continued to wrap the crying infant. He removed his hand from Naruto's back to somehow see blood on his hand. Kakashi frantically turned the baby on his stomach which intensified the crying, to check his back for wounds, only then to see a large bloody handprint muddied were his hand had been. His heart then began to race and the forest was still except for Naruto's pained sobs.

It was Minato's handprint, placed by him as he handed Naruto to him moments after Kakashi found his half alive body. Kakashi remembered being frozen in shock to his spot, looking only at Minato's crumpled form with his blood pooling everywhere. He barely heard his small pained whisper and as his last words to him was a desperate plea: "Please, Keep him safe…"

After looking down at the shrieking, red faced, wriggling infant he held clumsily in his arms, Kakashi quickly nodded. Kakashi's primal instinct was to run, to get away from that painful sight. So he dashed into the forest. He turned to have a last look upon Minato, his last memory. Minato had wrapped Kushina in arms, as the life then reluctantly faded from his blue eyes.

His grip on Naruto tightened, he felt a wallowing sadness gather at the pit of his stomach. The leaves rustled and there was a loud thud on the branch he was resting upon. Kakashi jolted up Naruto awkwardly half wrapped wailing. Kakashi grabbed a kunai to fight his attacker. But his attacker ran up rather quickly.

"Kakashi!" Through Kakashi's haze he recognized Rin. He gave a sigh of relief. She looked as if she had been crying. She swept Naruto out of Kakashi's arms almost immediately.

"Jeez, Kakashi haven't you ever been shown how to hold a baby!" She scolded. She finished swaddling him up and sent a flare up into the sky. She cradled, and cooed at Naruto and his cries subdued almost abruptly. She walked over up him and showed Naruto to him. The infant was now peaceful and asleep. Jiraya and some ANBU were beginning to appear.

"This should be a happy moment" She said gently. "The leaf has found its new smallest hero." Kakashi nodded, and for once that night he smiled.

The doctors expect a good recovery and outlook.
