A tear trickled down Draco's cheek as he watched his beloved fiancée being carried into the church. Draco was there early, not wanting others to know he loved Ginny secretly. He kissed her pale cheek, tipped his black hat, and left.

Draco had been in his seventh and final year at Hogwarts, and he had fallen in love with Ginny Weasley. Of course Ginny did not know it for she always thought Malfoy hated her as he always made crude remarks when she walked by. To Draco, that was how love was shown. Kind of. The year passed quickly for Draco, and he returned home.

Draco grew up to be a salesman, much to the dislike of his parents.

"Continue our family tradition by being a death eater," they told him.

"No," Draco replied, and his parents were furious.

Draco's parents thought of a way to get back at Draco. They soon found out from a friend of Draco's that their son loved Ginny. So they purposely betrothed him to Alicia Riedel, whose parents were death eaters themselves. Then Draco's parents went to the Weasleys' house and killed Ginny. The news was brought to light days later. Draco was upset and angry, especially when he heard his parents had betrothed him to Alicia Riedel.

Draco left the church and threw the black cloak in his hand over himself as other wizards had arrived. He had not been able to tell Ginny how lovely she was, how he had loved her since his last year at Hogwarts.

"Malfoy," came a strangely familiar voice.

"Hello Potter," Draco replied without turning around.

"You have come to Ginny's funeral?" Harry asked quietly.

"Yes," came Draco's sad reply.

Harry reached out a hand and, as though having a second thought, withdrew it. He turned to Draco and said, "I never thought you'd come. Well, Hermione is here. See you someday, Malfoy."

"Goodbye Potter," Malfoy turned to face Harry, but Harry had gone. Draco wiped his tears and disapparated. The years passed way too fast.

I haven't seen you in a while

yet I often imagine

all your expressions

I haven't spoken to you recently

but many times

I hear your thoughts

Good friends must not always

be together

It is the feeling of oneness

when distant

that proves a lasting friendship

A/N: Okay, I don't think Harry would've been that nice to Draco. But hey, times change. LOL.
