A Tribute
Shikamaru stares at the big wave as it tumbles everything in its path. Nothing could outrun it now. The village people have done everything they could to contain the cascading water, but this is not just an extraordinary jutsu. This is the heavens wrath being unleashed for no apparent reason. It's just the way it is.
Temari approaches Shikamaru from behind, taking a hold of his hand, smiling at the man beside her, the fear in her eyes being replaced with acceptance. "At least we will be together when it happens."
Shikamaru glances at Temari then wrapping his arms around her, he kisses her deeply as the waves engulf them, creating a pool full of debris on the area once teeming with life and dreams.
