Chapter 1: Uncensored Truth
Dean still was trying to figure why Crowley would promise to bring back his mother and how Samuel could believe him, especially after all they had been through. He thought about it for a moment wondering if Bobby could provide an answer for this situation but realized he wouldn't have the answer. He felt a bit lost now as he thought about it even more and knew that no one but Samuel knew why he wanted it. However, the eldest Winchester brother knew who else could look into Crowley. He got out his phone quickly and dialed a number. It rang for what seemed like an eternity but someone had picked up. It was another hunter he knew who was on her own and doing well for herself. He felt a little relief when she greeted him with an almost soothing tone.
"So what do you need, Dean?" She asked.
He explained Samuel's situation in simpler terms and could hear awkward silence come on.
"You're kidding me. Crowley lies and we both know that." She said, a little frustrated. "What the hell is he thinking?"
"I don't know. That's what I would like to know." He replied.
"Don't worry about it. I'll look into it." She said, reassuringly. "I don't want you to get into trouble with him."
"And you think you won't?" He asked.
"I don't deal with him often but if I do, it's a serious matter." She replied.
"He won't exactly be delighted to bring up the subject." He said.
"I'll make him talk. You may have killed his last vessel but he took up a new one." She replied.
"You're kidding aren't you?" He said, confused by the new fact.
"Nope. However, he can't do anything to me or you for this one." She replied. "He had not choice but to get a weaker body."
"I'll leave you to it then." He said. "Thanks, by the way."
"No problem. I'll get back to you as soon as I can." She replied.
She hung up and Dean had felt relief to have someone understand what he had been feeling. Sam came in now, looking at his brother with curiosity.
"Who was that?" Sam asked.
"Remember that case three years ago?" Dean said.
"And what did she have to say about this." Sam said.
"She said she'll work on it." Dean replied. "Of course she did ask what he was thinking."
Sam laughed a little, remembering the hunter well. She was never one to beat around the bush and they couldn't agree more with her now. Dean looked at his brother now wondering if she could do what she promised and the younger Winchester gave him a reassuring look. If he remembered her, she'd keep her word. For now, they just waited for an answer hoping it was something they could swallow.
Elsewhere, the hunter Dean had called sighed and ran a hand through her long brunette hair. She looked up at the sky, wondering why the angels hadn't done anything about the raging demons on earth and slowly remembered her grudge towards them. They couldn't do what they promised and her faith in this war ending had been shattered. She by now had decided to call the number with some hesitation. She dialed it quickly, hearing a man's voice on the other end.
Well well, I never thought I'd hear from you again, the voice said
"Crowley we need to talk. Now." She replied.
I suppose this isn't a pleasureable call. the voice said, bluntly.
"No. What makes you think you can bring back someone from heaven?" She asked.
It's a long story but if you have time, I'd like you to hear it." , Crowley replied.
"I have plenty of time." She replied.
