Kuroko was never quite sure what she had seen in him. He was an ordinary boy, one who got average grades, who couldn't score a basket if there was no one on the court, one who... Always lacked a presence. All-in-all, he was nothing special. Or at least, not like the other Generation of Miracles members were. And so, he was confused as she clung to him, her lips gently touching his, her eyes gently conveying her love to him.

He couldn't understand any of it, and yet, his heart was fluttering as she touched him. As her fingers ghosted along his arm, he shivered slightly. His heart was now beating loudly, and he wondered if she could hear it. And if she could, what did she think. Did she think him to be silly because of it? Or was he just becoming self-conscious because of what was happening?

Again their lips met, a soft, warm kiss between them. It melted all the doubts he had, gave him the tiny push he needed to ask.

"Why do you like me, Momoi?" He felt a blush color his cheeks as he asked. But she didn't laugh like he expected- what she said even surprised him.

"I like you because you're nice."

She was smiling as she said this, and Kuroko's blush deepened.

Her reason was so simple, because he was nice, but to him, it made him proud of himself. He was nice, and so he had Momoi. He was nice, and so she was happy to be with him. He was nice, and so the two of them were perfect together.

He started the kiss the time, his way of saying thank you to her. He wanted it to last, to go on until they were done.

"Oh no! The ice cream!" Momoi panicked. Kuroko couldn't help but laugh.
