Light Falls Away

Aurelia smiled up at the significantly taller man in front of her.

Caius sighed, "Another day's gone, and still, I feel as if there's so much ahead." Aurelia nodded slowly, wrapping her arm around his, watching the sun sink over the Mediterranean sea.

Goodbye my friends
So long
Light falls away
Gone another day

Aurelia rested her head gently on his arm, "Don't worry, Tomorrow will be here before you know it."

Caius looked down at her, an enthusiastic grin on his face, "Your right, and my cute little grandson will be joining us!"

Aurelia giggled lightly, "I can't wait."

For it's always been, somewhere in between
Light falls away
And it's easy to see, hope in our dreams

"I must be going now," Aurelia sighed, placing a small kiss on Caius' cheek. He nodded, returning the gesture.

"First light tomorrow, I will see you then?" He insured, earning a small smile.

She nodded in agreement, "As always."

That same night was the night the Great Roman Empire fell, never to be seen again by the world.

Night, my friends
Tomorrow will start again
At first light
