It's inevitable.

Everyone has to die at some point.

But Blake couldn't let go.

Ruby, Weiss, and Yang all laid in the bloody snow lifeless. There were Grimm everywhere. Beowolves, Ursi, and even a Deathstalker surrounded her. Ruby had been eaten alive by the beowolves, Weiss had been hit hard and hadn't moved since she fell. And Yang had been imapled by the deathstalkers claw.

She wasn't gonna let things end here. Armed with her trusty Gambol Shroud, Ruby's Crescent Rose, Weiss' Myrtenasr, and Yang's Ember Celica, she was gonna do her absolute best to avenge her fallen teammates.

The Beowolves charged first, each one getting knocked back and down by Crescent Rose, the huge Scythe slicing through enemies like a hot knife cutting butter. The Ursi came next, and Blake decided to use Ember Celica on them, remembering the first time they met in the Emerald Forest. She punched furiously through the bear like Grimm, each one dropping like dead flies. She had been fighting for what seemed like forever when it finally happened.

She was hit.

Falling down into the snow, she coughed up blood, noticing the massive gash in her shoulder. She looked behind her and saw the Deathstalker fast approaching, it's huge stinger ready to finish her off. Rolling back to avoid the attack, she pulled out Myrtenasr and spun its barrel, charging straight at the Grimm. No matter how hard she tried, it seemed like her attacks were getting nowhere. She got sent flying back again, slamming into a tree, making her cough up more blood. If this kept up, she was gonna die.

No.

Not yet.

She stood up, her entire body trembling. She felt like her legs were gonna give out at even the smallest blow of wind. She couldn't give up. Not here. Not now. She looked around. Crescent Rose was broken in half, Myrtenasr was lost in the snow, and Ember Celica was absolutely shattered. All that remained was Gambol Shroud. She pulled her weapon out, infused it with Dust, and charged one last time at the beast.

The next few minutes were a blur for her. When she came to, the creature was finally dead, a piece of the broken Gambol Shroud impaling its head. She looked at her friends unmoving bodies. "Guys...I'm sorry...I can't...keep...going..." She rested her head on the tree she was lying on, and eventually bled to death.

The last thing she could remember before dying was the sound of medical copters approaching.
