I do not own Doctor Who that belongs to the BBC network and Russell T. Davies
THE SPLICING PROJECT
The TARDIS landed in the way it always does.
Flashing into existence then fading away again. Then a second time gaining form and finely slipping from the Void and solidifying in the area that its driver commands it to.
That same driver pushed open the door of the TARDIS and stepped out onto the golden grass of the planet on which he had landed his craft. The driver was a thin man of regular height with a mane of light brown hair and dark intelligent eyes. He wore a crimson red button down shirt with black, vertical strips, black pants, what appeared to be white tennis shoes and a cream colored coat that reached down to his ankles.
He smiled slightly to himself then turned back to the TARDIS.
The TARDIS resembled a blue 1960's police call box thanks to its dysfunctional chameleon circuit. It was not that surprising that the TARDIS wasn't the best in the world when you took into account that it was an obsolete model, a class 40.
"Martha," called the man, "Are you planning on joining me or not?"
Martha Jones, the man's companion came out of the TARDIS. She was thin and about the same height as the man. She was dark skinned with her black hair pulled back into a time spiky ponytail. She had on a black shirt with a short maroon, leather jacket and pants of the same color and material.
"Sorry, Doctor," she said coming over to stand by the man, "I guess when you mentioned that the next place we were going was an alien planet instead of the past or future of Earth it made me a bit nervous."
"Oh, well there's nothing here to be nervous about," the one called the Doctor said reassuringly. "Well nothing that will hurt us anyway. Well nothing that hurt us that badly."
"Right," Martha said with a nervous chuckle.
The Doctor was certainly an odd man, if you could even consider him a man in the common sense of the word. The Doctor may have looked Human but he was actually the last of a race of extraterrestrials called the Time Lords from the planet Galiifray, a planet that no longer existed due to the cause of the Last Great Time War.
"So what is the name of this place," Martha asked surveying the beautiful landscape before them.
"Eldorado." the Doctor replied.
"Like the Golden City?"
"No, not like the Golden City because this," the Doctor swept his hand over the general area, "Is the planet Eldorado, not the city Eldorado."
"I see," she mumbled.
It was fitting name for the place nonetheless.
Grass beneath the traveler's feet was golden-brown as were the trees dotted around the hill they stood on. Gold brick buildings with high arches that seemed to touch the sunset tinged sky reached as far as the eye could see in front of them.
"Well then, Martha Jones, shall we proceed?" the Doctor offered her his arm.
Martha linked hers through his with a smile and they set off down the shining hill.

High up in the braches of a tall Gold Oak a crow with gold tinted feathers watched as the two companions retreated down the hill.
It gave a short warbling caw then flew off to report back to its masters.
