Patience!

"Anakin!"

The young man winced at the harsh tone of the voice. He looked up to see his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi, racing up towards him.

"Yes master?" Anakin Skywaker asked innocently. The older man was in front of him now.

"Don't go; 'yes master-ing' me, you know what happened."

"I'm sorry master, I wasn't concentrating."

"You sure weren't," Obi-Wan grumbled, pointing to a singe mark in his tunic. "You nearly had my head off!"

"Maybe if your head was just a little higher from the floor-." Anakin stopped in mid-sentence, alarmed. He knew his master could handle jokes and teasing from him, but he seemed to have been pushing his luck lately. Obi-Wan gave a cold look which made Anakin drop his eyes guiltily.

"I am sorry master… I… forgot my place." Then to his surprise Obi-Wan gave a tired smile.

"It is already forgiven Anakin."

"Master?" The padawan said, unsure of what his master was saying.

"There was once a young boy here whose soul aim was to be… disobedient towards his master." Anakin grinned; of course they both knew who the boy was. "Let's try again, shall we?"

Anakin nodded; "there is no 'try' for me master." He said, confidently, turning away.

"We'll see…" Obi-Wan said more to himself. "Oh, and Anakin." The young man turned around. "This time for sith's sake have patience!"
