Started with the lines "smiling faces in your dreams, you cannot sleep". Dark song about Patrick Jane. My interpretation is that he has this darkness in his heart due to what happened, but his obsession with Red John only makes it worse because he is so focused on that one end goal that he pushes away everyone else who tries to or could be close to him.
