It was a moonless Halloween night. The zephyr wind made a shrieking sound at it whistled it's way through the New York City skyscrapers providing a chill to the air and setting the perfect creepy atmosphere for an evening of law breaking fun. At least that's what Joe was thinking as he and his drunken friends tried in vain to signal one of the seemingly infinite number of yellow taxi cabs that were passing them by this evening.
His best friend Tom has just began to lose his cool and almost accidentally flipped off a police car when he spotted the girl. Scantily clad at best she wore an outfit more revealing than those of the hookers that usually prowled the streets of the concrete jungle. The outfits iridescent purple shine, black frills, and six inch heels all caught his attention but the real kicker were the girls eyes: they were a bright orange with slanted black pupils like a cat's; the look all of the girls had been trying to pull off at the parties he'd been stumbling in and out of all night.
Trying desperately not to sound or look like a drunken fool (and failing most miserably) he called out to her: "Hey a baby like you shouldn't be running around out here by herself." All of his friends turned to look at who he was yelling at and when they saw her their jaws hit the floor. Wolf whistles soon followed along with loud comments about her six pack and perfectly bronze skin.
The mysterious girl approached them. (She must be really stupid to be approaching a group of guys in a back alley all alone like this Joe thought to himself as a lot of hookers wouldn't even do that). Then someone in the group whispered "what if its prank?" (A hush feel over the group). The girl had a creepy way of walking and it gave Joe the unsettling feeling that she might soundly pounce like a big cat and tear his neck open a feeling that he quickly dismissed as the beer talking.
The girl drew closer and eyed them up and down walking between them and around them all the while seductively sashaying her hips and hands. She then tilted her head to the side and let out an evil little cackle "So handsome and fair." She said in a voice that trumped every female horror monster any of the guys had ever heard. She then produced a card with what they all presumed was a smile (which they couldn't see as she wearing a purple face mask that perfectly matched the rest of her outfit) and said "While others often pursue I hope that you will find." She then turned away and disappeared back into the alley with the following message: "When you reach the door tell the bouncer that Mileena sent you."
Dumbfounded Joe looked at the card: "Party Out-Of-This-World. No real names used. All types of costumes allowed. Fatality is possible. To be held at the crypt between last chance Ln. and 13th St. (after party in room 666 invite only)."
