Sweat ran down her body in streams as she practiced her taijutsu for the third time that morning. Looking into the virtual copies of herself, she saw her appearance. She saw how her once luscious pink hair was sitting on her upper back in a lump matted hair slick with sweat. She saw how her clothes had many rips and tears which revealed more of her pale, creamy skin that was covered in dark, ugly bruises. She saw the fierce determination that in her clones that mirrored her own. As she dodged a kick from her clone she started to ponder.
Weak.
That's what she heard most of all in her life. Whether it was Ami and her group of snobby friends,
- "Look at Forehead. She can't even defend herself! She's so weak and useless!"
Or be it her own teammate,
- "Get stronger so we don't have to protect you all the time. Make yourself useful for once."
With all her clones demolished,Sakura started to strike a tree's trunk with her fist, using all the energy she had left into this final task. Even when her knuckles started to bleed a sickening red; she did not stop. Now, even her own thoughts began to point out all her flaws she's ever tried to hide.
'You should just resign from being a ninja,' It muttered darkly. 'You have no special talents such as the Sharigan or Byakugan. You have no demon sealed within this pathetic body of yours to give you immense chakra or strength. You are just a burden to your teammates.' The voice taunts her repeatedly to give up. But she ignores it as her legs give out and she tumbles to the ground, soaking it a dark red from her hands. She ignores everything, even her owns teammates worried shouts at the sight of her because she knows, somewhere deep inside, she will not be a burden for much longer.
She will become strong.
Authors Note:
I think I did a fairly good job on this story. The plot is overall, the thoughts of Sakura being labeled 'Weak' all her life and how she is going to change it. It might become a two-shot but I don't know yet. I'm sorry it's so short but I thought this would be a good ending.
Also, Sakura's been training since seven that morning. Her teammates found her at ten-thirty. If you have any questions, just type them in your review and I will reply to them ASAP. I hope you enjoyed this fanfic of mine so don't forget to review!
