The TARDIS spun wildly through the purple nebula, the cloud thrashing against the side of the tiny blue ship. Inside, the console room shook violently, as if being hit by a terrible earthquake, knocking the Doctor to the floor with a thump. He lashed his hands onto the console and pulled himself to his feet, slumping over the controls in an effort to keep on his feet. The opaque neon dust cloud engulfed the TARDIS screen, rendering it useless throughout the journey through the nebula. A loud ripping sound tore through the control room followed by a great 'pop'. No matter how hard the Doctor tried to stay on his feet he found that he didn't have the strength to do it and in one violent shake he was thrust into the wall and knocked unconscious, his body collapsing in a heap.

"He's alive sir," said a relieved voice. "I'll fetch the stimpack and a cup of Alkh, he's about to come around." The Doctor opened his blurry eyes, blinking furiously until he had a clear vision. He stared up at steel ceiling panels that reflected a dull image of himself. Turning his head he saw two men and a woman, one man standing close to him, one punching keys into a glowing monitor and the woman pouring some steaming liquid into a white cup.

"He's awake sir," said the man closest to him with a smile, "Quicker with the stimpak Elsie!" The woman rushed over to the Doctor's side, gently taking his arm and injecting the vein with a small needle.

"You're not from this Earth," she said sweetly, "we need to make you immune to the potentially hazardous environment of our world." Her look changed to concern when she glanced at his chest, "When we were running the heart-rate scan we picked up two beats." The Doctor began to laugh as he sat up, taking the hot drink from Elsie.

"I wouldn't worry about that…err," he said.

"Elsie," she said.

"Ah, Elsie. Well Elsie, thanks for the Alkh, not had a sip of this beautiful nectar in, oh, three-hundred years." Elsie's eyes grew wide and for the first time the other two men approached the Doctor. They all wore a blue uniform emblazoned with a yellow emblem of an eagle. The Doctor analysed the symbol for a second before his face dropped. "The eagle," he stammered, pointing it out on Elsie's uniform, "That's the symbol of the uprising." One of the men, the larger of the two, put is hand on the Doctor's shoulder.

"My name is Ryler," he said quietly, "We are members of the border guard, not rebels." He motioned to the other man. "This is Karl, the tech wiz." Karl blushed at the compliment. "You are in Omega bunker, home of the Omega Guard," he said with pride, "We welcome you space-farer, now what is your name?" The Doctor managed to tear his eyes away from the yellow eagle.

"The Doctor," he said, "and I have a feeling that you're in really, really big trouble."
