A/N: sorry for the wait I have been so busy lately working on my novels, yes I am writing two novels, that I haven't had time to work on anything. Hopefully I can work on this again though most of my time will still be on TWOF.

Only Louise is my character and is named after Sam's mom. This is just a one shot that I may of may not base a story on.

Louise's PoV

"Louise, honey, come down stairs!" my mom yelled from down stairs. Quickly I dropped the little plastic horses I had been playing with and ran as quick as my short three-year-old legs could carry me down the stairs.

"Yes mommy." I said coming to a stop in front of my mother.

"Your father has a surprise for you." She said with a smile on her face. I ran out side and saw daddy standing there holding the reins of a little bay pony.

Her daddy gave her, her first pony

"His he mine?" I squealed as I ran over to hug my dad around the legs.

"Yup, his name is Cappuccino. Now get on so you can learn how to ride." He answered me swinging me up into the saddle.

Then taught her to ride

I couldn't help but notice how high up I was in the dark colored saddle.

She climbed high in that saddle

Daddy soon let me steer Cappuccino all by my self. Soon after he let go of me I would fall.

Fell I don't know how many times

Daddy also told me what mom called the lesson every cowgirl needed to know.

Taught her a lesson that she learned

Maybe a little too well

I always worked my hardest to remember his words:

Cowgirls don't cry

Ride, baby, ride

Lessons in life are going to show you in time

Soon enough your gonna know why

It's gonna hurt every now and then

if you fall get back on again

Cowgirls don't cry

Twenty years down the road I found who I thought was the man of my life.

She grew up

Quickly we married.

She got married

Yet something was never right.

Never was quite right

I always wanted what my parents had. A home and a family.

She wanted a house, a home and babies

He didn't.

He started coming home late at night

I hated that I had fallen for a lie and that I was letting it hurt me.

She didn't let him see it break her heart

She didn't let him see her fall apart

Yet I always remembered my daddy's words:

'cause Cowgirls don't cry

Ride, baby, ride

lessons in life are goinna' show you in time

soon enough your gonna know why

it's gonna hurt every now and then

if you fall get back on again

Cowgirls don't cry

Then the call came.

Phone rang early one morning

I could hear the tears in my mother's voice.

Her momma's voice, she'd been crying

She said "

Said it's your daddy, you need to come home

This is it, I think he's dying"

She laid the phone down by his head

The last words that he said

Then I heard his voice:

Cowgirl don't cry

Ride, baby, ride

Lessons in life show us all in time

Too soon God lets you know why

If you fall get right back on

Good Lord calls everybody home

Cowgirl don't cry

I thought of it for Sam at first but couldn't see her or Jake breaking up and her mother wasn't alive to call when Wyatt left.
