Replacement
Sometimes, Alec would pretend that Magnus was Jace.
Other times, Magnus was just…Magnus.
Sometimes the glittery hair and rainbow clothes would disappear from Alec's mind and were replaced with Jace's blond hair and all black clothes.
Other times, Alec was satisfied with Magnus's colorful clothes.
Sometimes, Alec was Jace's.
Sometimes, Magnus wasn't enough.
Other times, Alec was Magnus's. Magnus would be enough for him.
Sometimes, Alec could see the differences between Magnus and Jace, as clear as the difference between day and night.
Other times, Magnus and Jace were the same person.
Sometimes, Alec still loved Jace.
Other times, Magnus was all he needed.
