This is just a dabble. I don't know if it'll go far, but I really like the idea.
"Run Bella! Grab your sisters and go!" Charlie Swan yells at his oldest daughter as he fights to hold the door of their home closed.
"But daddy -" Bella tries to speak but a large crash from one of the upstairs rooms keep her from finishing her sentence.
"Go! Go now!" He shouts at her once more, shoving a dresser in front of the door and wrapping his arms around his daughter.
"Bella listen to me." He whispers in her ear, tears dropping onto her shoulders. "You have to get your sisters and get out of here. " He gives her a light shove, pushing her to the door way and she turns back to him, her face wet with tears still flowing.
"Aren't you coming with me? With us?" Charlie looks at her.
"No honey. I won't be joining you. Now go find your brother and sister and run." He turns back to the door, his eyes closed before he turns back to look at her. "And never, ever look back."
Bella lets out a wail, her cry piercing her father's heart as Bella races up the stairs, Charlie closing his eyes as he activates the bomb hidden beneath the sink.
'Ten minutes and counting.'
A frantic Renee pushes Avia and Ivory into the closet of Bella's room. She shushes them as they call out to her, and she shoves the teddy bear into Ivory's hand before shutting the closet door, rushing into the hall and coming face to face with Bella.
"Oh thank god, Bella!" Renee hugs Bella before grabbing her hand and pulling her into her room. She hands Bella a small cruzer, who shoves it into her back pocket.
"Bella, you have to save your sisters and yourself. Be brave and don't look back." She tells Bella where Ivory and Avia are, before hugging her again. "I love you, Bella Rae Swan. I will always love you. Good luck." She kisses her forehead and then runs out to the hallway, only to stop short when she comes face to face with a scraggly looking man. He smiles, what remained of his teeth yellow and black. He stares at her, and she cringes as she takes in his milky eye.
"Brave girl you are, Ney. Sticking 'round here when you know you ain't wanted. You and your demon spawn are going to burn here soon." He smiles again, before shoving his hidden knife into the stomach of Renee.
Bella, who was standing in the door of her mother's bedroom, screams. Her fists clench and her hair begins to fly as she searches for the power her mother showed her how to use.
SPLAT.
Red sprays against the walls and Bella's body quivers, sobs shaking her body as she stares at her mother, lying coughing on the floor.
"Mom?" Bella whispers, falling to her knees and pulling her mothers head into her lap. Renee smiles, blood flying past her lips and splattering all over Bella's face. She closes her eyes.
"So much potential.." Renee whispers quietly. "You're so brave, my little flower. Mi Bella you are so strong.. I can trust you to protect your sisters."
Bella nods, her tears falling onto her mothers face. "I love you, mom. I'll do everything I can to avenge the both of you."
Renee smiles. "I know you will."
"Bella? Bella! Wake up, Bella!" Avia shakes Bella in her sleep, frightened that her older sister was screaming in her sleep. Bella's eyes flash open and she sits up, her breathing heavy as she blinks back tears.
She pulls her knees to her chest and cries for the first time in three years.
