AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I don't know if this is going to become a series that I'm actually going to continue, but it's fun for me and people seem to like to so I'm publishing it anyway.
Clay sat in a booth at "Moorhen's Diner and Bar" after a long day of sports, and eating of course. He just came from football practice, and was pretty hungry.
One of Moorhen's waitresses walks up and says, "Your Clayton right? Moorhen always talks about how you empty her stock when you come here," she said chuckling.
Clay laughed and said, "You can call me Clay, and tell her I don't do that….. Most of the time." The waitress smirks and replies, "You can call me Silta, now what is your order?" Clay thinks for a moment. "Teriyaki chicken and rice , tell Moorhen I'm going light today," he finally decided.
"Alright then, need a drink?"
"Water, I'm parched."
"Alright then hon, Moorhen! Teriyaki chicken and rice! It's for Clay!" Silta called to Moorhen.
"He better not ask for seconds!" Moorhen yelled from the kitchen "Or he'll be washing dishes again!" Silta laughed and walked away to take other orders. Clay's phone vibrated, and he checked it. It was a text message from Sora, or at least it's her family nickname, that's how she pronounced it when she was little.
"hey Clay! I kno ur probably back from practice now so how bout I treat you for dinner at moorhens?" the message read.
He replied, "Im already 1 step ahead of u sis meet me I think you can still get something :D" A thumbs up emoticon was Sora's reply.
Many more people stared to trickle the Diner, since everyone knew about the restaurant's great food. Silta came over and gave Clay a glass of icy water. "Your foods going to be a lil' late, hon. This is one of our busy nights." Clay nodded in understanding.
Out of the blue, a girl with a familiar face sat down on the booth chair across him. Clay was startled by her appearance. Her hair was orangey red, as if it was on fire. It was a short, quaint ponytail. Her amber eyes were slightly more red than normal, giving her eyes a lava-like appearance. "Why hello, Clayton." She said, her very voice made Clay feel warm.
He scratched his head and looked around nervously. Who is this lady!? He thought "Er.. Um.. Its Clay, and how do you know my name!" he said, slightly scared of the young woman.
"Don't you remember me around campus last year?" she asked.
"Now that I think about it…"
"What's your name?"
"Perl."
He looked around nervously to find Sora outside getting off of her bike. "You need to leave now!" he exclaimed. She looked a bit startled by the outburst.
"Alright." Then, Perl briskly walked away, leaving no trace of her presence. Why would she want to talk to me..? I hope I'm not getting stalked…. If she's stalking why would she want to reveal- He was sidetracked by the smell of food, and Sora sitting across from him.
"Wow that's no usually how much you gorge yourself here," Sora mused, as Silta derived Clay's food.
"You must be Sara! Clay's sister, right?" Silta said to Sora. "Well you can also call me Sora, but can I get some chicken tenders? Oh, and a water."
"Alrighty, then." Silta then walked away.
"Why do you look like you're about to take a science exam?
"Nothing."
"Okay then… Are you sure?"
"Yes, Sora, I'm absolutely sure."
No Clay, you aren't absolutley sure.
