Chapter 3: Ambush

(Hinata)

We woke pretty early the next morning and it was cute how Naruto slept. He got up and said, "Ah that was a good sleep. Oh you're already up eh, guess we must get going." I agreed and we got dressed and continued on the road to Suna.

"Hey Naruto-kun I think we are actually ahead on schedule, so we may get back to Konoha before your birthday" I said. "Eh my birthday has never been anything special to me," He solemnly said. "Oh sorry Naruto- Kun I thought you would just like to see your friends." I quietly said. He smiled at me and said "Nah I think being with you for my birthday will be nice." I blushed like crazy after he said that.

"Heh Its cute how you blush Hinata" he chuckled. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was Naruto actually acknowledging me and saying he thought I was cute? This made me blush even more. "Common ill race ya to the desert border" Naruto said as he jumped. "Naruto-kun wait up," I said.

After a few hours of racing with Naruto we were getting close to Suna. I was going to let him win because he always got so happy about those kinds of things and it was cute.

We finally stopped. "Looks like I gotten faster" He smiled. I smiled back. His smile gave me the warmest feeling in my heart. "Well lets get these documents to Temari-Sama" he said.

(Naruto)

WOOSH! A kunai suddenly flew right in front of my face. "Hinata look out, behind you!" I yelled out. Hinata jumped back and we were standing back to back. "Byakugan! There are men, one on your side and one on mine. Their chakra flow is tremendous." "Ok you take one and I got the other," I said.

"Shadow clone jutsu! Lets get em guys." I charged towards the enemy ninja with my fist full force. "Wha! Substitution? Where are you? Another Kunai fired at me and I dodged it.

(Hinata)

"Byakugan! I assumed my fighting stance. "Ha what kind of ridiculous fighting stance is that!" the ninja said. He threw a black ball in the air and all of a sudden it started raining needles. "Eight trigrams palm rotation." I blocked all the needles no problem. Hm this guy's chakra isn't right. Wait that's not the real one I thought to myself. I spotted him right behind me. I spun around and said "Eight trigrams sixty-four palms"

(Naruto)

"Shadow clone jutsu!" "Really you think that's going to work on me kid" the ninja said. I came at his all directions this time. He dodges all of my attacks except one. "See told you it wouldn't work kid." I grabbed his foot from the ground "Think again! I jumped up and kicked his jaw straight up in the air. Then got above him and dropped kicked him to the ground "UZUMAK BARAGE!

(Hinata)

"2 palms, 8 palms, 16 palms, 32 palms, 64 palms!" I hit his chakra points so sharp he wont be getting up anytime soon "AK what did you do stupid girl!" "I cut off the flow to your chakra and by how Naruto handled you friend over their I'm sure you will be joining him soon."
