Mai sat, glaring at the sky. She was furious, but trying not to let it show. Those who did not know her wouldn't be able to tell just how angry she was. But those who did would be able to tell she was livid.
So there Ty Lee stood, knowing her friend was angry, but wondering whether or not to approach her. She debated with herself for a few moments and decided that since Azula was gone, now would be the perfect time.
"You seem upset," Ty Lee said quietly, sitting with Mai.
"Whatever," Mai replied, rolling her eyes.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No. It's not important."
"It is important. You can't keep you feelings bottled up like this, Mai."
Mai said nothing, she just stared at the stars.
"Are you mad at Zuko?"
She nodded.
"You should talk to him about it."
"There's not much to talk about," she said, "he's a stubborn, hot headed jerk. And I love him, but I wish I didn't."
Ty Lee was shocked. She hadn't ever heard Mai say that she loved anything. She knew Mai loved Zuko, but she had never said it out loud, at least not to her. "Maybe you should tell him that." Ty Lee said.
Mai shrugged. "Maybe. Thanks for talking with me, Ty Lee."
Ty Lee smiled, "Anytime."
