"Honestly?"

"I swear I didn't do anything, but I still think-"
"That it's over? Yeah, you're right." The voice wasn't mad, but amused.

"And we're still friends" he chimed.

"Still friends," she smiled and almost laughed and with a goodbye hug she departed.

"Keep in touch, I beg of you." He shouted after her.

"Yeah, yeah, I'll do my best." Walking down the steps from his large town home she closed the door behind her and disappeared into the black Honda Civic waiting for her.

The car began pulling out of the driveway, but it wasn't even out of the neighborhood before… "So, what happened? How'd it go?" Selphie rang from the backseat.

"It was… Fine," Kairi answered, "Just fine." Aerith looked at Selphie through the rearview mirror.

"Fine?" they echoed.

"Yes."
"…. You made out with him, didn't you?" Selphie cooed softly, clinging onto the back of the passenger seat.

"No!" Kairi yelled, "It's like you're both still in high school, Jesus!"
The other two girls looked at each other once more. "We just graduated, like, three months ago, Kairi, chill."

"Well I wouldn't have any off that nonsense then and I won't start now." She said profoundly.

"Oh, come on, just tell us what happened." Aerith nudged her annoyed friend.
Kairi sighed in defeat and explained, "I asked him if he ever cheated on me and he said no, but we still agreed to break up. He thought we got into too fast and I said I didn't want to put up with the drama. That's all." She had turned her attention to the trees and hills rolling by.

"He told you he didn't cheat?" Selphie squeaked.

"Yepp,"
"But that's a boldface lie."

"Uh huh,"

"And you're gonna let him get away with it?"
"Pretty much,"

"WHY?"

"Because I just don't care," The rolling hills and acres of land were vanishing and almost instantly the streetlights and skyscrapers appeared up ahead. Oh, the city. Wait… the city? "Aerith, where are we going?"

"I figured I'd take my two good friends out to lunch this afternoon. Did you have plans?" she flashed Kairi an innocent smile.

"Well no, I just thought-"

"Good."

"So, let me get this straight," Selphie was still blabbing in the back, "You knew he cheated on you and instead of accusing him, you asked him and said 'Okay' when he told you no?"
"Uhm, yeah."

"And now you just don't care?"
"Selphie, I dated him because I find him very attractive. No emotional attachment whatsoever."
"He looks like a fag." Aerith stated bluntly.

"Oh, he does not." Kairi argued.

"I thought he was kinda cute before I knew he was such a whore. Now he just grosses me out."

Kairi just rolled her eyes and continued looking out of the window. The sky was a beautiful bright blue, no clouds in sight and the sun was shining at its best. It truly was a great day.
