Chapter 1 redone

Author note

So its been 6 years since I wrote this story. Me and my college roommate were talking about fanfiction and doctor who and decided to go back and read our high school cringe. I read this and really liked the idea. I decided to rewritten because unlike my freshman self I know how to use words. I thought I would post it to show that people can grow.

T he Doctor walks around the console of the Tardis flipping switches and pressing buttons. Swaying to a pause he leans in closer remembering her gentle voice "Can you hear?" one heart beat then the other. "No old girl, no more talking for you my love" turning away his mind when back to what he had said to Amy and Rory. "House deleted rooms- There are an infinite number of rooms -but it deleted all the bedrooms- it only had to delete 30% it couldn't have deleted it. Could it?" spinning quickly on his heel he turned to the corridor. "No it's fine it only deleted some of them" he murmured already running to the stairs. He ran through the winding halls and dozens of rooms to the door. Staggering to a stop he reached up to his bowtie unraveling it so that a tiny key fell into his palm. Hands on the verge of trembling he put the key into the lock. "This rooms can't be gone" grabbing the knob he took a deep breath and flung it open. The room was just as it had been the bed unmade clothes littering the floor. "thank god it's still here" He looked around Rose's old room still the same as the day she left. It looked as though she could walk in any second and yell at him for being there. Walking to the bed he touched the old teddy bear laying there. Then the pictures on the bed side table. There were some of her and her Mom others of her and Mickey and the ones of them. The one they had taken on the huge Ferris wheel in London the day they first met after they saved the day. Them at the 2012 Olympics laughing and cheering for the athletes and the last was taken just before she left it was just the two of them in the Tardis control room we were both grinning ear to ear. "Good times right Rose?" Smiling sadly mourning the loss of his Rose even though he had another man's face. Turning away with the same sad smile as he always had he left the room. Locking it behind he and retying his bowtie tucking tiny key inside the knot.
