Last ever Rachel and Eddie fan fiction. I miss these characters so much!
To say that there is a beginning and an end would be wrong. We as people complain of how time races against us. However, the hands on a clock rotate once around the perfect formed numbers. Yet, when they reach the end, it seems to be the beginning. Despite what people say, things are never ending. - BrightLiar ( W-Road16)
The hands of a clock.
They sat in silence. The dim light of the candle glowing was enough to illuminate the softness to their faces. With her legs swung over the top of his thighs in nothing but his shirt she smiled. Compressing their body temperatures, they were able to identify a heat which suited them both. It wasn't a harsh silence. It was a beautiful silence.
Running his thumb over the tight clasp of their hands, he was able to reflect on their never ending chapter. They were finally free. Free to remove anyone from their bubble. Free to dance off into the sunset. From anyone's point of view, it was far from perfect. To them, well, it was perfect. They had each other.
Throughout the heartbreak and the misery, despite what could have been said, they stood by each other. Not only did they hate each other – because of the strong similarities they shared – but no matter what, they did love each other.
From the moment they were free, they fell into each others arms. Well, that's only half true. They were blunt or maybe oblivious to what they really shared. The music was playing but they weren't dancing. Not at that moment anyway. But as fairy tales go, they did fall in love; despite the complications. They fought, and they succeeded.
To say that they were happy would be true. They shared emotion. He showed weakness and she showed vulnerability. They were simply each others addiction. When she fell, he fell to lie with her.
Now, they sit in silence. The perfect silence. Rachel Mason and Eddie Lawson were just ghosts. Their story was never ending.
