I was watching "Friday's Child" tonight and this little drabble popped into my head. I don't own Star Trek, Enterprise, or McCoy(much to my disappointment). In the world in my head, Christine doesn't fancy Spock but instead is married to McCoy. No beta so all mistakes are mine.

They had beamed back onto the ship and left that godforsaken planet in their wake. Kirk was very pleased with himself, having secured the

mining rights for the Federation and Spock was currently looking up the meaning to that obscure earth saying "Oochie-Woochie Kootchie-Koo".

McCoy was trying to finish his mission report and get back to his quarters to down some brandy and lay down to try to rid himself of his

headache. That bump that Eleen had given him was hurting him something fierce. "Damned woman" he mumbled to himself. Why did she have

to go do that. "Just what women do all the time, think with their feelings and not their head." He told himself. "And why would you be saying

that?" a very female voice asked behind him. Bones swung around to find Christine standing in his doorway. "That's not a very nice thing to be

saying, especially since your wife is a woman and she controls your bed." Christine teased, coming fully into his office. "Now darlin, you know I

wasn't talking about you. Well, that is. Damned it all. You know I have a bad headache and would just about kill for a brandy and bed." Bones

quickly tried to backpeddle before he lost that bed that he desperately craved. Christine smiled and went in back of McCoy and began to

massage his head. Instantly relief came to his tired head. He sat there for he didn't know how long while Christine worked her magic.

Ultimately, it came to an end and Bones was spun around to face Christine once again. "Now, Len dear, I have a question for you. How did you

suddenly gain a child, and without my help?" She asked him, smiling. "Well, Chris. When a man loves a woman and…" he started to say.

Christine swatted his arm. "Don't play funny mister. I want to know!" McCoy quickly explained the mix-up that Eleen had made during her

delivery. "How did you know about it anyway?" he asked her. "Oh Jim just couldn't wait to tell me about how my husband was now a father."

Bones winced. He was going to have to berate Jim the next time he saw him. Chris saw his struggle and quickly wrapped her arms around him.

"It's ok, Len. I understand. I'm glad you were able to get out ok. I wish I could have been there." He smiled at her. "It's better that you

weren't. Your temper wouldn't have held in their patriarchal society." Christine just smiled, knowing that was the complete truth. "Well, Doctor

McCoy, you should really be getting to bed. You've had a tough day." Bones stood up and smirked at her "Well, Nurse McCoy, would you like to

help me with that. We could even try for baby number 2?" Christine just smiled, and started walking out of his office, a definite swing in her

hips. "Maybe, if you promise it won't happen in just one day." With that, she left, heading toward their room. "Women." McCoy muttered and

hastened to follow his wife out the door.

Well? Thoughts? I haven't written a story in forever, so let me know how this little foray went!
